Ster Kranen Materieel from Leimuiden (NL) is operating this sharp and imposing Hitachi Sumitomo SCX2500LF, the crane was here erected on a construction site in Deventer (NL) along the IJssel river.
It is a 250-tonne crawler crane that is powered by a 12.9-liter 6-cylinder Mitsubishi 6D24-TL diesel engine with a power of 235 kW (320 hp).
The undercarriage of the crane is 9.045 meters long and 7.52 meters wide. The tracks are each 9.045 meters long, 1.12 meters wide and 1.345 meters tall.
The crane is fitted with two 25-tonne hoist winches.
The crane has 87 tonnes of counterweight with a 6 meter tailswing.
The type SCX2500LF is refering to the option to use this crane with a luffing jib.
Here was the crane erected with a 27.45 meter main boom and a 42.65 meter luffing jib. In this configuration is the crane able to lift 38.5 tonnes on a 15.8 meter radius or 11.9 tonnes on the maximum radius of 54.8 meters.
Remarkable detail is the possibility to use a second hook that is reefed throug the boom foot of the luffing jib. With this is the minimum radius reduced to only 7.7 meters, there is the crane able to lift 66.8 tonnes, when the correct reefing is applied.
The maximum configuration is 60.95 meters of main boom with a 60.95 meter luffing jib. A very sharp crane by Ster Kranen!
