This Hitachi Sumitomo SCX1500-2 of JP Nelson from Singapore (SG) was used on their yard for various lifting activities. It is a 150-tonne crawler crane, the maximum load can be lifted on a 4.1 meter radius.
The undercarriage of the crane is 7.9 meters long and 6.36 meters wide. The crane is powered by an Isuzu 6HK1X, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 212 kW (288 hp). The crane is fitted with two 20-tonne hoist winces.
On both sides of the undercarriage are two 4.75 tonne central counterweight blocks mounted, in total 9.5 tonnes.
The counterweight on the superstructure has a total mass of 46 tonnes and exisits out of 5 parts. The base plate weights 10.4 tonnes and above are four slabs with 8.9 tonnes each. The tailswing is 5.5 meters.
The A-frame has in working position a total height of 7.5 meters and can be folded down for the transport over the road.
A single track is 7.9 meters long, 0.97 meters wide and 1.35 meters tall. The total mass each is 14.6 tonnes.
The main boom has a 15 meter base length and can be extended in 3 meter steps to a maximum length of 75 meters. Here was the crane fitted with a 42 meter long main boom. In this configuration is the crane able to hoist maximum 44 tonnes on a 9.2 meter radius or 8.8 tonnes to a 37.9 meter radius.
Here is the crane fited with the 7.5 meter long 135-tonne main boom head. To hoist the maximum load of 150 tonnes is a special heavier 4.5 meter long main boom head required.
A sharp crane by JP Nelson!
