In 2009 took GEKA (today: Dimco) from Dordrecht (NL) this sharp Hitachi Sumitomo SCX1500-2, a 150-tonne crawler crane, into operation as replacement for a 100-tonne Sumitomo crawler crane. The crane is primairy used for pile driving jobs from pontoon.
The crane is powered by an Isuzu 6HK1X, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 212 kW (288 hp).
The undercarriage is 7.9 meters long and 6.37 meters wide.
Between the tracks are on both sides central counterweight slabs with each a mass of 4.75 tonnes mounted; in total 9.5 tonnes.
A single tracks is 7.9 meters long, 0.965 meters wide and 1.445 meters tall. The transport mass each is 14.6 tonnes.
The counterweight has a total mass of 46 tonnes and has a 5.5 meter tailswing.
Here was the crane erected with a 39 meter long main boom, the maximum length is 75 meters. In this configuration is the crane able to hoist maximum 55 tonnes to a 9 meter radius or 10 tonnes to a 35 meter radius. A sharp crane of GEKA!
