This Hitachi Sumitomo SCX1200-2 of P. Feenstra from Damwoude (NL) on a construction site in Heerhugowaard (NL).
Feenstra owns two of these 120 tonne crawler cranes.
The tracks are 7.9 meters long, 0.97 meters wide and 1.35 meters height. Mass each is 14.1 tonnes.
The big A-frame. The bail for the luffing jib is attached to a 1 meter main boom section, directlly after the boom foot.
The luffing jib is 25.5 meters long, the longest length is 43.5 meters.
By such kind of jobs is the tower always longer than the luffing jib because the jib is assembled below the main boom (upside down). Usefully in narrow construction sites. When the jib should be longer than the main boom, the boom stops have to be mounted in the air, when the boom is boomed up a bit.
The counterweight weights 45 tonnes.
The main boom is 28.35 meters long, the minimum length combined with luffing jib. The longest combination is 52.35 meters of main boom with 43.5 meters of luffing jib.
