This sharp Hitachi CX900 of Voorbij Funderingstechniek from Amsterdam (NL) was used to drive sheet piles along a railway in Delft (NL). This crawler crane can also be used as a pile driver with leader, witnessing the hydraulic extendable bar below the boom foot.
The crane is powered by a Mitsubushi 6D24-T, a 250 hp diesel engine.
The undercarriage is 6.47 meters long and 4.9 meters wide. For the transport over the road can the undercarriage be retrackted to 3.4 meters.
The counterweight weights 31.3 tonnes and has a 4.3 meter tailswing.
The small jacks between the crawlers are used to unload the tracks to adjust them in width.
The maximum main boom length is 55 meters. In this case are two hooks reefed over the main boom, one for the PVE vibrator and one to pick-up the sheet piles.
