Hitachi KH180-3 - Vema Crane
This sharp Hitachi KH180-3 of Vema Crane from Made (NL) stood on a large construction site in Venlo (NL), together with an other KH180-3 of an unknown owner.
It is a 50-tonne crawler crane with year of manufacture 1995. The undercarriage is 5.52 meters long and 4.3 meters wide. For the transport over the road is the width of the undercarriage retracktable to 3.3 meters.
The crane is powered by a HINO EM100, an 110 kW(150 hp) strong diesel engine. The engine powers two hydraulic pumps which are used to operate the crane functions.
This crane is fitted with three hoist winches, two standard 11-tonne winches with 20 mm hoist cable and a 5-tonne hoist winch.
The counterweight of the crane weights 15.9 tonnes and has a 4.05 meter tailswing.
Here was the crane fitted with a 37 meter main boom in combination with a 9.15 meter fixed jib, mounted on a 30 degree angle.
The fixed jib has a base length of 6.1 meters and can be extended by intdermediate sections to 15.25 meters. It is possible to lift maximum 5 tonnes over the jib, however the capacity depends ofcourse also on the radius.
