This fine Hitachi KH300-3 of an unknown owner was parked on a small yard in Singapore (SG). It is an 80-ton crawler crane.

The undercarriage is 6.345 meters long and 4.83 meters wide. For road transport, the width can be hydraulically reduced to 3.5 meters. A single crawler track is 6.345 meters long, 0.85 meters wide, and 1.225 meters high.

The crane is powered by an Isuzu 6RB1, a 13.7-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 166 kW (225 hp).

As standard, the crane was equipped with two 15-ton hoist winches with 26 mm hoist rope.

A four-piece counterweight with a total weight of 20.8 tons is mounted on the superstructure; the counterweight has a slewing radius of 4.9 meters. The counterweight consists of a 10-ton base plate, a 4-ton block placed centrally on the base plate, and two 3.4-ton blocks mounted on the left and right sides of the base plate.

The main boom has a base length of 13 meters and can be extended in 3-meter increments to a maximum length of 58 meters. Here, the crane was equipped with a 28-meter main boom; in this configuration, the crane can lift a maximum of 38.25 tons at a radius of 6.5 meters or 5.55 tons at a radius of up to 25.7 meters.

The A-frame has a total height of 6.69 meters in working position.

A very fine Hitachi KH300-3 crawler crane!
