A sharp Hitachi KH300-3 of Blansjaar from Wateringen (NL) stood on a construction site near Uitgeest (NL). This is an 80-tonne crawler crane.
The crane is powered by an Isuzu 6RB1, a 225 hp strong 6-cylinder diesel engine. The crane has a base mass of 73.5 tonnes.
The undercarriage is 6.35 meters long and 4.8 meters wide. The crane has a maximum driving speed of 1.4 km/h.
The counterweight has a total mass of 20.8 tonnes. That exists out of a 10-tonne base plate, a 4-tonne center slab and two 3.4-tonne slabs on both sides. The tailswing is 4.9 meters.
The diesel engine powers in total five hydraulic pumps to operate the crane functions.
The crane is equipped with two 15-tonne hoist winches and each with 26 mm hoist cable.
The outriggers at the undercarriage are used to unload the tracks by retrackting them to the 3.5 meter transport width. This crane doesn't have the original tracks anymore, those were replaced by Verhoeven tracks.
Nice detail is the in-height adjustable cabin to give the crane operator a better overview over the construction site.
The main boom has a 13-meter base length and can be extended in 3-meter steps to a 58 meter length.
The crane was fitted here with a 31 meter main boom. In this configuration the crane can lift maximum 34.55 tonnes on a 7 meter radius and 4.6 tonnes on a 28.3 meter radius.
