Achterdijk Kranenverhuur from Leimuiden (NL) owns this Hitachi CX900, here used with the luffing jib on a construction site in Heemstede (NL). The crane is here still in the original Hitachi colors.
It is a 90 tonne crane with year of construction 2002. The crawler tracks have a 6.4 meter length, the undercarriage is 4.9 meters wide.
For a better stability there are extra ballast slabs mounted on the crawler tracks. Between the tracks are 4 jack-ups mounted to jack-up the undercarriage in order to adjust the crawler tracks.
Fitted with a 30 meter main boom and a 28 meter luffing jib. The max. combination is 49 meters of main boom (tower) and 37 meters of luffing jib.
A nice property for narrow construction sites, the luffing jib can also (upside down) mounted under the main boom.
The luffing jib construction is similar with the luffing jib of telescopic cranes. When the luffing jib is assembled in front of the main boom, the boom stops are mounted later-on in the air.
At the rear of the crane is hanging 31.27 tonnes of counterweight making a tailswing of 4.3 meters. A beautiful and strong crane!
