The sharp Demag CC 2800 of Yew Choon from Singapore (SG) was on their own yard used to unload some heavy cargos. It is a 600-tonne crawler crane with year of manufacture 2003.
The undercarriage is 9.9 meters wide and 11.66 meters long. Between the tracks is a total of 60 tonnes of central counterweight mounted, that exists out of four slabs, each with a mass of 15 tonnes.
The crane is by Yew Choon very well maintained, the crane almost looks new!
That day three heavy cargos would be unloaded from a pontoon and temporary stored on Yew Choon's yard.
The crane was fitted with a 60 meter main boom, the superlift is 30 meters long. For these lifts, no superlift counterweight was required.
The cargos are loaded onto a 10-axle self-propelled Scheuerle transporter for internal shifting in the yard.
The 10-axle Scheuerle K25 is composed out of a four and a six-axle module. Four of the ten axles are driven by the powerpack.
In the meantime it started to rain, the lifting must continue because the ponton needs to leave. The second cargo is hanging in the crane, waiting for the transporter to return.
Attached to the superstructure is a total of 180 tonnes of counterweight, sixteen slabs with a 10-tonne mass are stacked on a 20-tonne base plate.
With help of the hydraulic adjustment of the axles is the transporter able to unload itself of the cargo anywehere on the yard.
Over the runner, with a lenght of approx. 2 meters, is it possible to hoist loads up to 32 tonnes.
The latest piece with a mass of approx. 120 tonnes is lifted from the pontoon.
Also the last piece is relatively quick loaded on the transporter.
Yew Choon also deplaoys a Liebherr LR 1750/2.
Also does Yew Choon has a lot of axles, available with many accesories like intermediage bridges, turntables and powerpacks.
A very sharp job done by the professionals of Yew Choon!
