Two large mobile cranes from Peck Tiong Choon from Singapore (SG) are being prepared on a construction site there for heavy lifting operations.

These are the Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 (left) and the Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 (right).

The LTM 1750-9.1 was for many years the largest crane in the fleet of Peck Tiong Choon; currently this position is held by two XCMG XCA900L8 units. This crane is no longer in service with Peck Tiong Choon.

The crane was set up with 144 tonnes of ballast.

Meanwhile, both cranes have been rigged; the lifting operation is now about to begin.

The main boom of the 750-tonne crane is here extended to a length of 27.2 metres, while that of the 500-tonne crane is 26.5 metres long.

This involves a segment of an old metro line that has to be removed due to a planned extension. The segment is suspended in the cranes here and weighs approximately 150 tonnes.

The LTM 1750-9.1 lifts a total of 78 tonnes at a maximum radius of 16 metres, while the LTM 1500-8.1 lifts a total of 80 tonnes at a radius of 14 metres. The segment is loaded onto a transport combination of Peck Tiong Choon and will be transported to a demolition site during the night.

The LTM 1500-8.1 was set up with 105 tonnes of ballast.

The outrigger base of the 500-tonne crane measures 10 x 9.6 metres.

The outrigger base of the 750-tonne crane measures 12 x 12 metres.

The segment is loaded onto the transport combination relatively quickly. An impressive lifting operation carried out by the professionals of Peck Tiong Choon!
