Hoisting bridges by Commandeur & Plomp and Schot

With regularity are three bridges hoisted in Amsterdam (NL) to let trough oversized water traffic.

First two smaller bicycle-bridges are hoisted with help of a hired 200 tonnes crane of Schot.

This crane could be seen before on this website in its older colours; before it was owned by Hoogwout.

Fitted with the full counterweight of 69 tonnes. The crane is standing on half-outrigger base.

The second bicycle-bridge is attached.

Then is the Liebherr LTM 1100/2 of principal Commandeur & Plomp together with the 200 tonne crane attached to the middle bridge.

The 100 tonne crane has its boom 26.4 metres extended, the 200 tonne crane 30.5 meters.

Here is hanging the bridge in both cranes.

The boat is passing now.

The LTM 1100/2 is fitted with all the counterweight of 35 tonnes.

Later on packed, the job only took a small (saturday) morning.

The Liebherr LTM 1200/1 of Schot also turns homewards.

Also the ballast truck. The truck is a brand new Mercedes-Benz Actros 3355.
