For a new traffic connection to the A200 in Haarlem (NL) a new fly-over has to be built. Existing out of some fields with heavy beams.
The beams are brought to Haarlem by pontoon and in the harbour unloaded by a Demag AC 650 of Nederhoff and a Terex AC 700 of Mammoet and loaded to trucks.
These beams weight about 185 tonnes each.
Nederhoff and Mammoet are both assembled with 160 tonnes of counterweight.
The beam is loaden to a Mercedes Actros 4160 of Mammoet with a gooseneck-6 6.
Two combinations are shuttling between the harbour and construction site, the other combination is from Van der Meijden.
At the construction site are a Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 of Boekestijn and a Terex AC 700 of Mammoet present.
Left in the photo we see the Volvo of Van der Meijden entering the construction site.
The beams are swinged between both cranes.
And then lay down on the supports.
Back to the harbour.
The crane of Nederhoff is also supported below the slewing ring, what is required by some configurations, like these.
The second to last beam is placed.
At last the border beam.
After 10 beams is it time to go home.
