Bok Seng from Singapore (SG) is deploying two of these sharp MAN TGS 40.540 heavy haulage trucks with 6x6-drive line. The trucks are mainly used to transport heavy cargos on towed platform trailers, but can also be used with normal trailers to transport e.g. crane components. The trucks came in the beginning of 2017 to Singapore.
The truck is powered by a MAN D2676, a 12.4-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 397 kW (540 hp). The truck has a reinforced bumper to push or brake transports from behind, but in praxis this is not happinging very often. The truck is admited for transports up to 250 tonnes.
The truck has a wheel base of 3.9 + 1.4 meters. In the large opening behind the front axle are the battery, compressed-air tanks and a diesel tank installed.
The ballast box has a mass of 5 tonnes and can be reinforced with counterweight slabs to 25 tonnes. Below the ballast box is the cardanic fifth wheel visible.
On the driver's side are behind the front axle the Euro 5 muffler, the large diesel tank and the AdBlue tank installed.
Behind the cabin are the hydraulic oil tank, storage compartments and a large cooler for the WSK 440 torque converter installed. In front of the equipment tower is a large guard frame installed.
Attached is a 12-axle Scheuerle K25 platform trailer, composed out of two 6-axle modules. The cargo is a Menck MHU 1900S hydraulic hammer with a mass of 158 tonnes.
The cargo was loaded by the Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 and a Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1, both are also owned by Bok Seng.
The hammer would be transported later that night to another port. The heaviest and largest transports are in Singapore only carried out after 07:00 PM.
A very sharp combination of Bok Seng!
Here was the MAN TGS.540 used to tranport the base machine of the Kobelco SL6000 from the construction site to the storage yard.
Attached is an 8-axle Scheuerle K25 trailer. The trailer is configured out of two 4-axle modules.
The base machine of the Kobelco SL6000 is 14.25 meters long, 3 meters wide and 3.4 meters tall. The transport mass is approx. 64 tonnes.
The load would be unloaded on the next day.
Here was the MAN TGS 40.540 used with a 4-axle vessel deck to transport an oversized cargo.
The modular trailer exists out of a gooseneck, extendable vessel deck and a 4-axle module of Scheuerle. The cargo weights around 25 tonnes.
Because of the dimensions was it necessary to avoid the traffic lights, a sharp transport by Bok Seng!
Here was the sharp MAN TGS 40.540 of Bok Seng from Singapore (SG) used for some oversized transports at night.
The cargo is a cold box with a 37.8 meter length, 5.6 meter width and 4.25 meter height. The mass is 135 tonnes.
Attached is a 14-axle trailer, composed out of an 8-axle and 6-axle module with two spacer bridges.
The cargo would be temporary stored on Bok Seng's premices, because of the dimensions is the combination reversed into the yard.
A sharp combination of Bok Seng!
One day later another large transport was done, here has the combination just left the port area and requires a few attempts to reach the correct road lane.
This time a 16-axle Scheuerle trailer is towed.
The last street is reversed again, in the background is the other TGS 40.540 of Bok Seng that was doing an oversized transport as well.
Here was again a cold box transported, this one is 27.95 meters long, 5.85 meters wide and 4.25 meters tall. The mass is 100 tonnes.
One week later was the exchanger box, before driven to the storage yard by the Scania R 620, on the move to the construction site.
The oversized transport is in Singapore escorted by the Auxilairy Police by Certis.
Some sharp transports done by Bok Seng!
Here was the MAN TGS 40.540 of Bok Seng used to deliver a heavy transformer to the construction site.
Attached is a 16-axle Scheuerle K25 platform trailer. The transformer has a mass of 180 tonnes.
The transport is escorted by the auxilairy police.
The trailer is composed out of two 6-axle and one 4-axle module.
