During the open day of Max Wild in Berkheim (DE) in October 2015 was this Mercedes-Benz Actros 4163 set-up on the yard.
It is an 8x4 heavy haulage truck that is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 473 LA, a 15.6 liter 6 cylinder diesel engine with 625 hp. The two rear axles are driven, the two front axles are steerable.
This truck almost looks the same as the other Actros 4163 of Wild, which they had as a test vehicle. Big differnce is the reinforced bumper with coupling to push transports or to manoeuvre trailers.
Behind the front axle is the large Euro 6 muffler installed.
This truck is only used with trailers with kingpin, there are no possibilities to tow trailers or the install a ballast box.
On this side are behind the first axle the AdBlue tank and a storage compartment made.
In the large equipment tower are the large dieseltank, the hydraulic oil tank, the battery, airbarrels and the coolers installed. An open spot is left open for a possible storage compartment. The tower is properly covered by sharp flaps.
Attached is here a 7 axle Goldhofer MPA7 semi low loader, normally this truck is also with heavy low loaders and modular trailers on the move.
The load is this imposing Goldhofer AST-1X aircraft tracktor for Turkmenistan Airlines.
