Mercedes-Benz Actros 4160 - Fried-Sped

Fried-Sped from Ummendorf (DE) is the main shipping agent for various Liebherr factories. The heaviest combination they had was this sharp Mercedes-Benz Actros 4160 with 8 axle Faymonville low loader. This combination was sold in september 2016.

The truck is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, a 15.9 liter V8 diesel engine with 600 hp. Behind the front axle is on this side the AdBlue tank made.

The truck itself is painted yellow only and has no company name or address.

Behind the front axle is on this side the muffler mounted. The exhaust goes vertically up and can be seen just above the flaps.

Directly behind the cabin are the large diesel tank, an hydraulic oil tank, airbarrels, the battery and a large cooler for the WSK 400 torque converter installed.

The load is this new Liebherr LH 60 M Industry with a mass of around 58.4 tonnes.

The Liebherr is around 14.4 meters long, 3.5 meters wide and 4.2 meter heigh.

Pulled is a Faymonville Variomax low loader in 3 bed 5 configuration.

Mostly is the small bed used, the wheels (or the crawler tracks) of construction machines are hanging free next to the bed. Doing it this was the load can be loaded as low as possible.

The 3 axle dolly can also be removed to create a 5 axle low loader only.

At the Liebherr production plant in Kirchdorf a/d Iller (DE) are material handling equipment and wheeled excavators build. On this location the Liebherr company was founded in the year 1949 by Mr. Hans Liebherr.

Unfortunately Fried-Sped has pulled itself back out of the heavy transport works and has sold this imposing combination in the meantime.

Part 2

Short before the combination was sold I could take some last photos on the parking near Liebherr in Kirchdorf (DE).

For this load the 3 axle interdolly was not necessary.

The load is this sharp Liebherr LH 40 C for France, the breadth is 4.55 meters and the weight is around 40 tonnes.
