Terex AC 250-1 - Sarens

The Terex AC 250-1 of Sarens on the closed way N242 near to Heerhugowaard (NL). The crane will be used by the construction of a new bicycle overpass.

As ballast truck is a Mercedes-Benz Actros 3341 with 6 axle flatbed trailer sended.

There will be lifted three beams. The beams are made by Haitsma Beton and are transported by Combex.

The beams have a 27 meter length.

The crane is put up with 74.5 tonnes of counterweight and the boom is extended up to 38.5 meters.

The outrigger base of the crane measures 8.7 x 8.5 meters.

The counterweight can be extended to 96.6 tonnes by adding two extra 11 tonne hang-on slabs.

In the meanwhile Combex arrived with the second beam.

Combex used for this transport three beautiful Scania trucks, two R500 and an R620. All three with a 3-axle extendable trailer from Broshuis.

The biggest arch span exists out of three beams with a 27 meter length.

Later another six beams with a 9 meter length are mounted between the abutment pier and the support.

Part 2

The Terex AC 250-1 of Sarens was together with the Liebherr LTM 1250-6.1 used to hoist windmill parts in Harlingen (NL).

The crane is here fitted with the complete counterweight, which is 96.6 tonnes with a 5.6 meter tailswing.

This crane gives the possibility to work with three different outriggerbases; compelete: 8.7 x 8.5, 75%: 8.7 x 7 and half: 8.7 x 5.5 meters.

In tandemlift the rotor blad is unload from the beautiful Volvo of Vlastuin, weights 3.8 tonnes and has a length of 32 meters.

The boom has a maximum length of 80 meters and is here extended 43.3 meters.

Not many of these cranes have worked in the Netherlands!
