PPM ATT 400/3 - Connect

This PPM ATT 400/3 of Connect stood parked along a construction site. It is a 35-tonne crane on a 2-axle undercarrige. PPM became part of the Terex Group, later would this crane, after some (exterior) changes, sold as Terex AC 35.

The 2-axle undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 906 LA, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 205 kW (279 hp). Both axles are powered and steerable.

The crane was bough used from the United Kingdom. Hewden Stuart got bankrupt by the end of 2016 and in the beginning of 2017 were all 130 mobile crane from 35 to 220 tonnes auctioned. This crane was part of that party.

During the transport over the road are two counterweight slabs with a total mass of 1,600 kg stored on the undercarriage.

The 4-part main boom has a 9.4 meter base length and is fully extended 30.4 meters long. A 8 or 15 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib takes care of a maximum hook height of approx. 45 meters. The jib is under 0, 20 or 40 degrees mountable.

Packed is the crane 10.6 meters long, 2.55 meters wide and 3.3 meters high. The transport mass is approx. 24 tonnes.

The outrigger base measures 6.25 x 5.95 meters, or half 6.25 x 4.78 meters.

The full counterweight weights 5.5 tonnes and the counterweight has a 3.15 meter tailswing.
