Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 - Ter Linden

This Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 of Ter Linden was used to asseble wind mills near Staphorst (NL).

Here is the crane standing by the next wind mill. The LTM 11200-9.1 is during this project only used to put up the last parts of the wind mill; the steel tower, nacelle, generator and hub with blades.

Ter Linden bought their forst LTM 11200-9.1 in 2010, mainly used to erect wind mills. Ter Linden was before mostly know by the transport of wind mill parts.

One year later a second LTM 11200-9.1 was ordered, that is this crane with year of manufacture 2011.

The cranes are used in all countries of Europe to erect wind mills. Mostly in France haves both cranes worked a lot in the last years.

It is the biggest telescopig crane ever built by Liebherr with a capacity of 1,200 tonnes.

Fitted with 122 tonnes of counterweight, could be extended by 80 tonnes to 202 tonnes. The tail swing is 9.15 meters.

As undercarriage engine is an 8-cylindre Liebherr diesel engine used with 680 hp. The mass of the crane is 108 tonnes.

The outrigger base of the crane is 13 x 13 meters.

That was a pitty, too much wind that day, no lifts.

Some days later the hub with blades are assembled. The wind mill is an Enercon E-82 wind mill with an 82 meter rotor diameter.

Again to much wind, no action that day.

The next day. The lift should be done today, the crane is already powered up.

The rotor is with help of a forklift (in front of the crane) tilted.

The complete hub with rotorblades weights about 60 tonnes.

The crane is fitted with 6 meters of telescopic extension and 42 meters of luffing jib. The main boom is extended 49.1 meters.

The axle height of the wind mill is 78 meters.

On this photo is the dimension of the big YSL boom guying proper to see. The radius is about 16 meters, seen from the boom axis.

The cab of the superstructure is attached to a smaller boom. The crane operator can get in the cab from the ground and could move himself up.

After this wind mill the crane will drive to France for a next project.

Part 2

A Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 of Ter Linden used by the disassembly of a windturbine in Wieringermeer (NL).

Here the nacelle is hoisted from the tower, weights about 65 tonnes. The turbine has an axle-height of 100 meters and was at that time erected by Franz Bracht with the Gottwald AK450/83. In the meanwhile also Wiesbauer with the Grove GTK1100 and KVN with the Liebherr LR 1600/1 visited the construction site.

The crane was used with 16 meters of boom extension and 42 meters of luffing jib.

Fitted with 182 tonnes of counterweight. The outrigger base is 13 x 13 meters.

Here the nacelle is loaded on the 3 bed 6 lowloader of Ter Linden. The transport is going to Germany for maintenance.

The the tower is disassembled, the section will be stored on the site.

As assist crane a Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 of Ter Linden was used.

After the second section the crane was retracted and the weekend was celebrated.
