The largest mobile tower crane that is in the fleet of Heijkoop from Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel (NL) is this sharp Liebherr MK 140, a 58.5 meter mobile tower crane installed on a 5-axle carrier. Heijkoop is operating two MK 140 cranes.
The undercarriage is powered by a Liebherr D946 A7, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 400 kW (544 hp). The axles 2, 4 and 5 are powered, all axles are steerable. Because the crane is leased is the crane not painted in the sharp colours of Heijkoop, this crane only has some stickers to identify the user.
During the transport over the road is the crane 15.97 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high. The transport mass is 60 tonnes.
The full outrigger base of the crane measures 8.25 x 8.2 meters.
Attached to the back of the carrier is a frame, with this frame is it possible to bring some tools like a concrete bucket with the crane.
The crane has a 3-part tower that gives a horizontal hook height of 39.9 meters by a radius of 58.5 meters. With the 45 degree luffed jib has the crane a maximum radius of 41.5 meters and a maximum hook height of 75.5 meters.
Attached to the superstructure is 6 tonnes of additional counterweight, that is the maximum that fits the crane geometrically the drive over the road. With this counterweight can the crane lift 8 tonnes to a 14.4 meter radius and 1.7 tonnes on a 58.5 meter radius. If the two additional 1.5 tonne hang-on slabs are attached is the crane able to lift 1.9 tonnes on 58.5 meter radius.
A very sharp crane whereof multiple units are working already in the Netherlands.
