Jones KL66

This special Jones KL66 yard crane is standing together with two Gottwald cranes on a small boat yard in Heilbronn (DE). It is a 6 tonne crane.

The Jones KL66 was developed in 1949 and was the big rival for the popular 6 tonne Coles Argus.

The year of manufacture of this crane is 1964. The KL66 was also deliverable on a truck chassis or as a rail crane.

The crane is powered by a Lister engine.

The crane is equipped with two winches, a hoist winch and a winch to adjust the boom, that is hided below the body work.

In the background is standing the Gottwald AK130-48.

The boom is about 15 meters long. This crane is still frequently used for smaller lifts!
