Hitachi KH180-3

This sharp Hitachi KH180-3 of an unknown company stood on a large construction site in Venlo (NL) to erect a large steel construction. It is a 50-tonne crawler crane.

The undercarriage is 4.3 meters wide and 5.52 meters long. For the transport over the road is it possible to retrack the crawlers, the transport width is then 3.3 meters.

The crane is powered by a HINO EM100, an 110 kW(150 hp) strong diesel engine. The engine powers two hydraulic pumps which are used to operate the crane functions.

The crane is equipped with two 11-tonne hoist winches with 20 mm-hoist cable. The winches both have a freefall function, the crane can also get properly used with a grab or a bucket. On the flange in the front is it possible to attach the fairlead.

The A-frame has a total height of 5.26 meters and can be folded down for the transport over the road.

Here stood the crane erected with a 37 meter main boom. In this configuration can the crane lift maximum 15.3 tonnes on an 8 meter radius and 1.65 tonnes on a 33 meter radius. The maximum length of the main boom is 52 meters.
