Hitachi CX1000 - Achterdijk

Assembly of a Hitachi CX1000 of Achterdijk cranes from Leimuiden (NL) in Purmerend (NL).

The montage of the crawler tracks of each 15 tonnes is done by a Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 of Schot.

Directly continued with the counterweight. The crane is upgraded and has more counterweight than a normal CX1000. Also the boom is upgraded.

The transport of the crane and parts was done by Van Santen from Haarlem (NL). They were using this nice Volvo FM12 of the overtaken company Van Elk.

The crane will be equipped with tower-boom, luffing jib. The heavy boom stops are attached to the 3 meter section that is set on the boom foot.

The main boom is 37 metres long.

The jib is 31 meters long.

The A-frames.

The A-frames are unfolded to assamble the guyings between them.

Meanwhile is the LTM 1070-4.2 changed for a Peiner tower crane.

Here the jib is assembled in front of the main boom. Also the jib can (upside down) being assembled under the main boom, usefully by narrow construciton sites.

The disadventage is that the boom stops can be attached during the booming up.

Small modification of Achterdijk, the support wheels on the luffing jib head.

When the boom stops are mounted, the boom can be raised.

Ready to being used the next working day!
