Grove GMK5110-1 - A-Z Baugeräte GmbH

The A-Z Baugeräte GmbH company from Krefeld (DE) is a rental company of all kinds of machinery, used on construction sites, from grinding machines to cranes. This is their biggest crane; a Grove GMK 5110-1 with year of construction 2013.

The GMK5110-1 is the succesor of the popular GMK5100. This crane has a shorter boom, but therefore a stronger loadchart and hast the state of the art technics in house. The crane was introduced in 2007 and is deliverd since 2008.

The outrigger base of the crane is 7.8 x 7.5 meters. The crane is driven by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA with 531 HP.

Fitted with 39.1 tonnes of counterweight, that is for this crane the maximum.

Packed is the crane 15 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters height. The mass is about 60 tonnes.

This crane is equiped with a second winch (but not in use here). It is also possible to remove the winch, then a 1 tonne counterweight slab has to be mounted on the same place, making the counterweight 40.1 tonnes.

In the background is standing a Sennebogen 3300. On this construction site were some more cranes used. Build was a new storage hall of an onlinestore with clotches.

Next to the boom is hanging a short 3.6 meter jib. With this jib is it possible to lift 43 tonnes! The jib is extendable up to 38 meters, whereof the crane can take only 19 meters with him.

The main boom has a 50.77 meter length, giving about 50.5 meter vertical reach and 46 meters horizontal reach.
