Lifting bridge parts by M.J. Van Riel

The hoisting and transporting of a new bridge in Zaandam (NL) performed by M.J. Van Riel and hired equipment of Mammoet.

The over sized parts are transported by ship to Zaandam and near the construction site loaden on trucks.

At first this Mercedes Actros 2650 with 3 axle flatbad was loaden.

The second part is loaden on a DAF 95XF 480 with also a 3 axle flatbed. The used crane is the Grove GMK5220.

The Grove is fitted with all the counterweights, 77 tonnes.

By Mammoet was a Terex AC 700 hired, fitted with 100 tonnes of counterweight.

In tandemlift is the mid-part of the bridge lifted out of the ship.

And then loaden on the rollers of Mammoet.

Two single 6-liners are required.

The pulling vehicle is a MAN TGA 41.660.

When it is getting dark the transport started.

Meanwhile the crane are relocated to the construction site.

Unfortunatelly the coldness and the bad photo possibilities pushed me to go home.
