This Coles Endurance Mobile was used by Klerk Yacht Service from Medemblik (NL) to lift boats and yachts. Since some years a portal crane is used and the Coles is now more or less superfluouss.
It is a 25 tonne crane with year of manufacture 1967. The crane is really honouring it's name. The model Endurance was built from 1960 to 1970.
The crane is mounted on a 4x2 mobile undercarriage to move on the yard, the crane was also liverable on a 6x4 truck chassis for longer distances.
The crane has a diesel electric power. The engine is a Perkens 6.354, a 6 cylinder dieselengine with a 5.8 liter stroke.
The maximum length of the main boom is about 33.5 meters (110 feet).
Over the flyjib isn't a hook reefed, but an electrical chainblock is attached. A very rare crane!
